Pastor Samuel Kabonaki was born into a religious home and was baptized when he was 20 days old. His parents disagreed deeply on the teachings of Jesus Christ and even went to different churches. He grew up without knowing and understanding the love of God, which led to a life of poor decisions, immoral behavior, and a wrong direction.
One day, Samuel went to church as a joke, but when he heard the preacher speak from the Book of John, he felt the Lord speaking directly to him. When the preacher gave an alter call, Samuel stood up from his place and went down to repent. He admitted he was a sinner, asked God to cleanse his sins, and to allow him to be His child. This sparked a change in his lifestyle, which brought about opposition from his old friends, who laughed at him for changing his ways. Samuel continued to pray for them. “God has used me as His servant in many activities. We are praying each day to be devoted to Him and to grow and mature in the faith as we work in His ministry to bring others who are sinning into His presence,” says Samuel. Pastor Kabonaki has helped to start many churches and has been able to serve God in many different areas.
