Lubende Ngoi
#148013
Birthday: 03/15/2001
Lubende was born in the region of Katanga in the Democratic Republic of Congo. When Lubende’s mother was just pregnant with him, his father was selling goods at the market and suffered cardiac arrest. They rushed him to the hospital but he had already passed without ever getting to meet his son. Five years after the death of his father, Lubende’s mother went to a lake to purchase fish. They were in a canoe when violent winds surprised them. Lubende’s mother was thrown into the water but did not know how to swim and drowned.
Lubende is my maternal grandson. When my daughter passed away, we expected the relatives of Lubende’s father to come and care for him but no one came. Lubende had lived with me when his mother was still alive so with no one from his father’s family wanting to care for him, we choose to keep him with our family forever.
Through your assisance with an orphan sponsorship, we can make a difference in Lubende’s life. He has various needs that include school uniforms and supplies, spiritual needs such as a bible, food, shelter, and medicine when necessary. Your financial assistance will allow us to better meet all these needs and provide a happy environment for Lubende.
Lubende is a quiet boy who loves to play football. He is happy to be living with us, his grandparents, and has new hope for the future. His favorite color is rose and while in school he loves to draw. He enjoys eating beans as his favorite food. It has been a true blessing to us to have our grandson living with us and we thank you for any sacrifices you will make in order to provide this assistance to Lubende.
