I was born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia. I grew up to be a hateful person. Not only was I a selfish, arrogant, undisciplined child, but I disrespected my elders and stole from people all the time. I would also quarrel with my friends all the time for no reason.
I had heard before that receiving Jesus Christ could transform a person’s life. Since my conscience had been bothering me recently, I wanted to see for myself if the claim made by people was true. One day I was invited by a friend of mine to attend his church, and I accepted the offer as an opportunity to clarify my doubts. After I heard the preaching at the church I was touched. At the end of the sermon, the preacher asked if there was anybody who was ready to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Without the slightest doubt in my mind I stood up from my seat and walked toward the podium. Since then I have experienced peace within as well as boldness and courage. I respect people and I have transformed into a loving person and also a giving person.
After receiving Jesus Christ as my Savior, I knew I wanted to help those who desperately need to turn their lives around. That is why I decided I should go to the International Bible College. However, my financial situation is hindering the progress. The Student Leader Sponsorship will not only allow me to stay at the International Bible College and finish up my training, but it will ensure that I have access to food, clothing, and other basic necessities. It will also help me to buy textbooks and stationery which will help me to excel in my education.
I would like to thank all of you for your prayers and support. The Student Leader Sponsorship is a blessing to me and I would also like to thank you all to make this come true for me. I sincerely thank you for the sacrifices you have made to make this happen.
