I lived with my stepmother and was rude and violent. I drank, became addicted to drugs and was involved with many women. My neighbor was a pastor who held all night prayer sessions at his house. Sometimes I would listen to his sermons from my room. The singing touched something in me. I began to realize that I lived a wretched life. I soon had the opportunity to attend a church service. During the altar call, I just found myself crying my heart out at the feet of the pastor. Since that day I have never looked back. After my salvation, I began to have good relationships with my stepmother and others. I gave up the drugs and the gangster life.

As time went by I was involved more with the local church. I was heading the cell group and occasionally I stood in for the pastor. A restlessness grew in me and I confided in my pastor. He confirmed to me that he had seen what God was doing in me. He told me that he had been grooming me for the pastorate, even though I did not know it. He prayed for me, and together with the leadership facilitated my enrollment in Bible school. Since that time I have been serving the Lord through evangelism and discipleship.
