In Loving Memory of Mark Patton

Our hearts are heavy with the loss of Mark Patton, our long time friend and co-laborer in the Lord's work of advancing the Gospel and the building up of His church. This past weekend Mark passed away while serving the Lord with pastors and friends in Mozambique. The Lord used him beyond measure as he worked tirelessly to mentor church leaders, encouraging them to hold fast to the faith and press on as they serve in extremely difficult regions of Mozambique, bringing the Gospel to unreached and under-reached areas. An ordained pastor, Mark began serving with Gospelink in 2014 though he was a friend of the ministry for many years before that. We will be forever grateful and encouraged by this servant of the Lord.
There will be many who will desire to speak to the tremendous blessing Mark was to them and how God used him to impact their lives. Please pray for Mark’s family and for the ministry of over 100 national preachers and church planters across Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Please also pray for the students and staff at Ambassador International University in Zambia where he taught and touched many lives that now mourn his passing. He leaves behind a legacy that includes many who came to know the Lord or who were strengthened in their spiritual walk.
There will be more to be said in the coming days, and we will await the wishes of Mark’s family. In the meantime, we praise the Lord for Mark’s ministry. We are grateful for your prayers, not only for his family but also in asking God to impress upon the heart of another faithful disciple to step in and fill the gap now left by Mark’s absence, all to the glory and honor of our Lord Jesus Christ. A Memorial Service will be held tomorrow, Saturday October 8th, at 11:00AM (PST) to honor our friend, and beloved co-laborer for the Gospel, Mark Patton. Any and all are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Mark Patton! The service will be held at Life Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, at 6316 S Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV, 89118.

The Family asks in lieu of flowers, and in remembrance of Mark's life, donations be made to the Mark Patton Scholarship fund, which was created to continue funding Mark's mission for Ambassador International University (AIU) in Africa.
